Castiglioncello is a little village so the best way to stay around is by feet. You can reach every beach and if you want to go out the village it's easy to rent a bicycle or a car if the distances are big.

Azhut Says: In Castiglioncello you can find almost 4 ice-cream shops. I recommend: Gelateria Ice Palace, Gelateria Bocelli, Gelateria Ghost Busters. Try every sort of ice-creams! Prices change from 1 euro to 5 euro.

Sometimes when I go to the beach I'm sure to be safe form the sunburn, but if you have a skin too white and tender, remember to buy a sun cream before going to the beach!

In the summer time Castiglioncello is full of tourists, especially during the week end. This village is very little so there are few parking places (one quite big is close to the Castello Pasquini, another one is located close to the Station).
Unique Suggestions: If you nedd to go to Catiglioncello during the week end, you could find a place for your car if you decide to arrive there early in the mornig. But the best way to not have parking places problems is to arrive there during the week!
Fun Alternatives: A smart alternative is to choose to come there by train, or after renting a bycicle!

Azhut Says: A great digital camera is what u need to take the most beautiful pics of the sea for example, but maybe is better not to take it on the beach, too sand is dangerous:-) I love Olyumpus and Canon digital cameras

Azhut Says: For this summer to buy and dress a Pareo is a must, so don't forget to choose yours between many fantastic colours. You can find your pareo in every open-market. In Castiglioncello we have a big open-market every monday morning.

Azhut Says: Maybe it's not esay to remember to take a cap with you when you go to the beach, but I can assure you that it's always good to have it, especially if you decide to spend a morning on the beach or to have lunch on it. The sun is very dangerous for your head between 10 a.m....

During the week you should decide to go surfing. The best place where you can do it is to the Quercetano. There when is very windy it's easy to fing very big waves. Go there for surfing only if you are used to practise this sport.

this is a beautiful spot, the Portofino of Tuscany, I love coming here early mornings at leave around noon, it's so quiet and beautiful...
..so nice place to spend holidays...i had an apartament here where i usally live in summer...great place ....the best near Livorno..
