Favorite thing: go and visit Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge)... you can really see a beautiful landscape from Cellini's statue, all over the Arno river... and what about jewellers'shops?
Fondest memory: Santa Croce Church... it's been something special, having a look at the most famous Italian poets and artists...

Favorite thing: Out the door and just to the left of our hotel is the Piazza del Duomo with the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiori (Duomo 1296-1436), the Campanile di Giotto (Giotto's Tower c. 14th century) and the Battistero di San Giovanni (the Baptistry). This is the front facade of the Duomo.

Fondest memory: Its been so long since I've been to Italy so I don't remember all the specifics of where to go, but I do remember that Florence was my favorite place in Italy. Maybe it was becuase the history and the beautiful buildings.

Favorite thing: Feel the atmosphere of Reneissance.
Fondest memory: Walk on Florence's streets. Breathe the Florence's air. As I already mentioned, Italy has everything. Ancient stones with allusions on history make an impression on you in Rome. Analoguos job for making impressions in Florence is being made by the city in whole. Every building adds its own in the whole picture. On the picture for this topic, you can see a street in the very center of Florence, that leads to City Hall.

Fondest memory: The Duomo, and Boboli Gardens. The Ostello (hostel) on the edge of town is excellent, better than most $100 per night hotels. Otherwise, it's noisy and smoggy in town. Mopeds everywhere, like raging mosquitoes. Once you get over your smog headache, it's a lot of fun. Very Very Very touristy.

Favorite thing: GO TO THE 'PIAZZA DELLA SIGNORA' AND SEE THE 'PONTE VECCHIO', FOR ME WAS INCREDIBLE, THAT PLACES,ARE FULL OF HISTORY AND BEAUTY, SCULPTURES OF DANTE, DA VINCI, MIGUEL ANGELO, MANY IMPORTANT ARTISTS THAT GAVE US ALL THE IMPORTANT THINGS TO THE UNIVERSAL CULTURE, IS VERY IMPRESSIVE, IF YOU LIKE THE MUSEUMS, THE HISTORY, AND WANT TO BE WISDOM, (OUT OF TIME OF COURSE), OF THE UNIVERSAL HISTORY,
MUST TO GO THERE AND SEE ALL!
Fondest memory: I MISS SO MUCH THE SIGHT OF THE 'FIUME ARNO', FROM THE 'PONTE VECCHIO', WOW, ITS INCREDIBLE, I WOULD BE THERE FOR HOURS, JUST SEEING THE RIVER, THE SUNSET, THE ATMOSPHERE, SO MUCH TOURIST WALKING ALONG OF THE SINGULAR BRIDGE, THAT SCENE NEVER I FORGET IT.

Favorite thing: Palazzo Pitti was built in the 15th century... The Pitti Palace holds seven museums these days and is a nice place to sit for a rest...

Favorite thing: It once was very trendy to have an open loggia on top of your house. There are some good examples left in Florence. This one is in the Via della Terma.

Favorite thing: Walking through Florence you will find many houses with this kind of old iron bars in front of the windows.
It is something originating from the middleages.

Favorite thing: Florence is built along the river Arno. The houses at the waterfront all seem to steal a little space, by overhanging just a bit. The colors of the houses make a great atmosphere.
