    Florence

Favorite thing: Another photograph taken on Piazzale Michelangelo. From there you can also see the Duomo, Campanile, and the area around there. Nice place, huh?

    Florence

Favorite thing: Here you can see the river Arno with its bridges. The first one is probably one of the most famous bridges in the world - Ponte Vecchio. I also liked the second one, Ponte Santa Trinita.

    Piazza di Santa Croce

    Piazza di Santa Croce

Favorite thing: I expected Piazza di Santa Croce a busy square but when we got there (in the morning, but not early!) it was completely empty.
From the Piazza you can get a magnificent view to Santa Croce's facade.

    What a view!

Favorite thing: The best place to view the skyline of Florence.
Get there by walking or take bus 12 or 13.

Fondest memory: Warm sunny spring afternoon - very balmy!

    Florence.

Favorite thing: Walk up to Pizzale Michelangelo on the south side of the Arno, about twenty minutes by foot from the Vecchio Bridge. The view of the city from there is great.

Favorite thing: The Duomo dominates the city. You must climb the many steps to the top for a birds eye view of the art on the inside of the dome and a view of the city from the top.

Favorite thing: Climbing to the top of Giotto's Tower can be challenging but offers a great view of both the surrounding city and the people who climbed to the top of the Duomo.
