Fondest memory: Master Pietro Tacca originally sculpted this bronze boar, located in front of the Mercato Nuovo, in the early 17th century.
It is said that rolling a coin down its snout into the fountain brings good luck, and that whoever does so will not fail to return to Florence one day.

Favorite thing: walk, walk and walk some more - bronze boar 'Il Porcellino' in the Mercato Nuovo. Good place to shop for leather goods, lace and tapestries
