One of the most interesting parts of my walk around Florence was the courtyard outside the Uffizi. There are sculptures of significant figures of the Renaissance ringing the courtyard.

    Uffizi Gallery

Uffizy Gallery holds one of the finest Renaissance paintings collection of the world, although is strongly focussed in Italian artists. It's an indispensable visit.

    Uffizi on both sides

A palace of a gallery! Overflowing with works of art. A reason by itself for a visit to Florence. However, beware and be prepared for the queue, but it is well worth the wait.

A portrait from inside of the uffizi..

Elegant manneristic building that encloses between two wings the long and narrow Piazzale degli Uffizi, it was built for Cosimo I to house his administrative and judicial offices.

Houses about 2 million priceless works of art. Not really, but it includes works by Botticelli, such as the Birth of Venus, and others by Raffaello, Fillipo Lippi, Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt

Galleria delgi Uffizi. A really nice museum. Right by the Ponte Vecchio bridge.
You can see Botticelli's Venus painting! It was contructed for the 13 Magistracies by Duke Cosimo I dei Medici.
