Hostaria del Ceccottino: Tradition in Pitigliano (GR)
Although I am Italian, it's difficult to enter a restaurant in a touristy place and feel at home or like you feel in your favourite restaurant in your home town. But in the Hostaria del Ceccotino it happened to us. We had to wait for a while but the dishes and the kindness repaid it completely; dishes are big and the quality is excellent. Many dishes in Pitigliano came from the merge between the jewish and christian tradition, since in Pitigliano the jewish community was very big but there are not really kasher restaurant (instead you can buy a lot of kasher food or wine)
Favorite Dish: Antipasto del Ceccottino (mix tuscan salami)

Sitting in the sun in the silent streets, the first aquantaince...very nice
Favorite Dish: My father and I got tuna, tomatoes and some onionrings with some Tuscanian saltless bread on the side. Watch out, because they are going to pour a lot of olive-oil on it all (not on the bread). If you don't want it just say so before you order (they will look very suprised then, really funny)
