Quattro Mori is the most popular statue in Livorno, in front of the Porto Mediceo. The monument is composed of a marble statue of Grand Duke Ferdinando II and four bronze statues depicting chained prisoners. The bodies of the four black guys look like they are moving compared to the cold and firm Grand Duke. The statue celebrates the Order of the Knights of St. Stephen, founded in 1561 by Cosimo I De' Medici to free the Mediterranean from the threat of Turkish pirates.

usually tourists, if they go, they walk around the oldest part of Livorno called Venezia, with all these canals. . note that canals are also in other sides of the city, like this one, called Zona Buontalenti. I love the colors of the buildings

this is a beautiful place in the "ghetto of Livorno"
it's like a small community where people do a lot of volunteering work and creative works like exhibits and so on.
This place was created more thasn 20 years ago by a very smart priest, who then moved to Brasil to help poor people in Fortaleza.
Nowadays, u can come here even to watch indipendent movies
Usually people gather here once a week for happenings
This association doesn't aim at spreading the religion, but aims at making people know each other, feel like they are individual and to develope their skills in a better way, even if they don't have money to improve their hobbies, passions and thoughts

it can be dangerous to swim here when it's windy, like today, cos the currents are really strong and u don't wanna crash your bodyt against the huge rocks under the water
but when the sea is flat, you can swim and it's really clean
