heyyyy
this is a must if you come to Livorno. It's 1 minute walk from Antignano Beach, it's kind of big but it's all the time crowded cos Livorneses love dining here. You can also take away and go to eat at the beach in Sale or Moletto di Antignano, where most people gather during summer evenings and nights
Favorite Dish: these people make pizzas and focaccias
my fave focaccia is the one with eggplants.
The true recipe u wanna eat is "focaccia with prosciutto crudo e melanzane".
this places looks OLD but the owners just don't care about renovating the furniture cos it's just typical and the way Livornese people love it
very informal and mellow people

if you wanna have a taste of real livornese cuisine, you shouldn't miss going to this restaurant. They mostly have fish course, but even vegetarian and meat ones.
They'll give you generous portions.. and very very good quality
Favorite Dish: My fave is antipasto vegetariano, which is a HUGE starter and then Pappardelle ai Funghi Porcini ( home made pasta with Porcini mushrooms)
My brother usually goes here once a week and he's speaking all the time about their shrimps, lobsters, and fresh fishes

hey this is one specialty from our city.
it's called Cinque and Cinque and it's a chick pea pie, which is also made in Liguria under the name of Farinata.
We call it Cinque (=Five) and Cinque (=Five) cos in ancient times poor people used to eat 5 cents of this check pea pie and 5 cents of bread. so it's now Five and Five.
Favorite Dish: This Pizzeria makes both great pizzas and supergood Cinque e Cinque. it's the best in town!

this is my fave cheap restaurant in livorno.
I've been going there for more than 10 years, and they keep cooking really well.
They change their meny daily, so that people who wanna go more than just one in a while, can savour different things.
They cook both italian recipes and indian recipes.
The atmosphere is very relaxing, with nice ethnik music, and once in a while they organize meetings to talk about problems in the world like poverty in poor countries, abandoned animals and so on.
I love to hang out here especially during the summer, after a day at the beach, u can come here and sit in their garden and enjoy the stars.
Favorite Dish: my fave dish is Carpaccio di Tofu. It's like a huge salad, and instead of cutting pieces of raw meat, like the toscanian tradition wants, they cut pieces of tofu and then theu add raw mushrooms, rucola, a little carrots and parmisan.
I LOVE THISSSSSSSSSS
They cook many "sformati", home made pastas, curry dishes and so on.

A cosy interior with lots of plants and flowers, giving the restaurant a pleasant and spacious atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: I tried the mixed fried seafood for secondo, and enjoyed it.
The pasta was great, too.
None of us tried the famous Livornese fishsoup - the Cacciucco - this time, but I definitely will next time!
A little disappointment with this restaurant - too many things on the menu they didn't have - included the dessert choices.

This is one of the best restaurants in Livorno, where the fish is fresh and well cooked
Favorite Dish: You cannot loose the "cacciucco", the typical and hot fish soup of Livorno: it was born as a poor dish of fishermans, but now, with all the different kind of fish to cook, is a difficult and refined speciality!
