Albergo Ristorante Pizzeria Bolognese: Great Pizza
They have so many kind of pizzas and also general Italian foods. Waiter knows English. Also they have English menu for meals. Service is good. Not so expensive at all. There are so many seats and a garden.
Favorite Dish: Pizza capricciosa, pizza napoli, pizza funghi. Florence style meats are also great

Le Maschere: Different kind of Pizza
Le Maschere is an ancient theatre in the main medieval square of Montecatini Alto and just for this reason you'd go and visit it.
More then this it's a very good restaurant were is served not the ordinary pizza but the "focaccia" (similar to the pizza but withouth tomato). On the focaccia they put mushorooms or steak. It's very very particular but really great taste of Tuscany.
The choose of wines is good but not enormous anyway you can ask to help to choose the right wine.
Favorite Dish: I use to get the focaccia "Beccofino", that is a focaccia with steak and porcini mushrooms on it.
Good things: the different and innovative dishes that give you a taste of Tuscany
Bad things: The tuscany starter is really poor, and 'couse they cook when you ask (nothing is precooked) you need time before eating
On the road: A friendly and not expensive place
The restaurant doesn't seem anything special from the outside(during winter),but the cooking is really good.During summer there is a big big terrace where you can eat outside. It's very romantic and great to breath during the hot summer. You can eat Tuscany food but also Italian, and the wines are not so well known but they are good. The owner choose them one by one.The atmosphere is really friendly and the chef Fabrizio is very funny. There is also a room for children with lots of games for their entertainmet.
Breaking news: the restaurant changed the "command in chief", so i have not tryed yet the new"version"..i'll let you know as soon as i'll try it
Favorite Dish: The pizza is very good but i perfer the"tartara",that is meat cooked by lemon, and then served with onions, oil, and other vegetables.

Pulcinella: Napoli's restaurant
All the people that working in this restaurant are from Napoli, so they decided to use really "napoletana" way of cooking. That means that every dish is really full of food, and the pizza is different from the other pizzas you can find in Tuscany. Here they ask if you want the pizza "tall" or "slim". The tall one is the napoli's way of pizza, and it's really delicious. I also tried as "entrè", the big dish of fish: it can seem expensive (18 € and at least for 2 persons) but i think you can eat just that and you'll feel full.
The card of wines is good and not so much expensive: i got 2 bottles of 2 different sicilian white wines and they cost 14 € each..raccomended!
Just the location is not the best 'couse it's really close to the street but if you eat inside you not have to care about the street:-)
Favorite Dish: Pizza (very different kind of pizzas) "tall" 'couse it's different from the other pizzas you use to eat in Tuscany. It's a "napoli" way of made pizza and so, it's to try.
4You Restaurant Montecatini: Probably the best restaurant in Montecatini Terme
A great central location and the best place to eat whilst in Montecatini. Went there myself 4 times during a 7 day stay in the area and was never disappointed and also managed to eat something different everytime. Polite, friendly service and genuinely great food. A must visit.
Favorite Dish: Spaghetti carbonara

4you ristorante montecatini: Posto Delizioso e staff gentilissimo.!
Restaurant La Polveriera: Very good seafood
The restaurant is in a very good and panoramic place, so the best thing is to go there during the summer when you can eat outside and you can have a beautiful view on the "val di nievole". The service is good, firendly and there are sommelier also for your choice of wines (last time i got a "Traminer" of the north of Italy that was really great). There is a sort of "menù" that costs 35 Euros in which you can have different kind of seafood. I think the pleasure of eating here can change by the chef. If you go ask if there is "Daniele"(i can't put all the name for privacy). He is one of the best chef in the area, so if you want to choose something "a la carte" ask fro him and let him choose for you
Favorite Dish: I tryed varoius things, from the "entrè" of octopus to prawls...here you'll not find something a dish very elaborate. It's more easy you find simple dishes, but also the simple things are not so easy to cook in the right way..don't forget to ask about the cook...Daniele is the best. Maybe the things change if he is not cooking that day
Da Pellegrino: don't miss
While in Montecatini Terme, we would never have discoverd such a gourmet paradise if we had not asked for suggestion to the owner of a wine shop. He told us that most of restaurants in Montecatini Terme are not local, because the follow food trends and offer what tourists are used to ask all over the world. So we follow his suggestion and drove away from Montecatini Terme, direction Montecatini Alto. Than take the road to Pistoia (quite hilly and narrow, forget the bike!) and find this amazing place (5 minuts by car from Motecatini Terme). It is run by Luca, the owner in his 40's, his sister and some nice employees. In summer there is a nice terrace as well. The cuisine it typical Tuscan, with an oustanding quality for "Chianina" meat (you will have fantastic bistecca alla Fiorentina, 1 kg of delicious meat!) or fish. In the evening, the also serve pizza (they have wooden oven) but I have not tried it.
Prices are really reasonable.
Opens every evening (but not Wed) and for lunch time on Sat and Sunday as well.
Favorite Dish: Bistecca alla Fiorentina is a must, but I ordered FRITTO MISTO (fried rabbit and chicken with fried vegetables), really delicious and an ANTIPASTO MISTO (mix Tuscan pork, wildboar and duck ham, plus three different types of Pecorino with home made jam).
