    Parking Issue

by BruceDunning Written Nov 2, 2007

Watch where you park, and make sure the colored spaces are the right ones. Contrary to some other towns, blue marking is for the locals, and white is for others. They have meter maids going around a great deal to issue tickets. I got one. It costs 35 eruo, and then you need to find a place to pay for it. The poste does take the money. Keep a receipt if you have a rental car to make sure they do not charge you also with a penalty.

    Parking..blue lines only

    by Alex_71 Written Sep 29, 2007

Well Montecatini it's supposed to be a therme's town and so it'd be very friendly with tourists, but from a while there is a society that has taken the administration of all the parking area. You have to pay attention. You can park just in the areas with the blue lines (the areas with yellow lines are for resident only), or into the areas with white lines (here you can park for just 1 hour). There are a sort of "traffic inspectors" that check really often the parking into the blue area, so make sure to make the ticket for parking really quickly or you'll have to discuss with them. The machines for paying the parking are all around and it's easy you notice them. The"traffic inspectors"(that we call in a very gergal way "vigilini", and it's not a sweet way to call them) take a personal percentage for every fine they do...so you understand very well what is their interest!! I put this advice 'couse 90% of the parking area is with the blue lines, so if you don't want to have any trouble with the "traffic inspectors" you have to pay the parking.

    Hotel Panoramic inside theft

by geismom Written Aug 20, 2007

Our group was subject to a theft in this hotel.
Thehotel staff insisted that the patrons did not lock their doors. However, the thefts occurred in locked rooms.
There was a way for someone to stand on a ledge outside the window, and that person could easily lift the window for entry. Several rooms were victimized.
The thieves grabbed purses, and anything that looked like it contained money. They left the purses, etc. out on the ledges, empty.
Be sure to check out your room for any possible entry, and always lock up your suitcase, carrying the lock with you, and use the room safe.

There are lots of abusive sellers.Expecially in the market area but u can find them also in hte center steets during the weekends. They sell great objects,shoes,jeans,t-shirt and all of this things are makred with important italian stylist like Dolce&Gabbana or Cavalli or Prada.Well the only problem is that his things are false and it's illegal to buy them.So i can't say that we buy them anyway and that you have to take a look if there is police around if you wanna buy some of them:i just can say that it's illegal to buy this kind of things even if they are made well enough to look like the originals
