This is a charming place to eat. It is located in the Piazza Duomo square so, on its terrace you have a great view of the cathedral. I just ordered a 'cafe fredo' and my friends had local beer. Stefano, the owner, was always kind and helpful in guiding us what to order. When we entered, there were italian music but as soon as Stefano found out we were Mexican, he put some salsa music hehe! I highly recommend this place.
Favorite Dish: Try the traditional beer!!

Italians are masters of cookies which they call buscotti. Prato is famous for a particular kind of biscotti with nuts that go wonderfully with their regional wine named Vin Santo. They usual way is to dip the biscotti into these deliciouslly sweet wine.

This isn't the best place in the world. It's not exactly a pub, as the name suggests - more like a pizzeria with draft beer and a cheesey old look. The pizza is okay, the price is reasonable, the beer is drinkable.
Ten years ago, I was one of the many 15 yearolds that pack this place on saturday night. All other days, it's a place for college students or others looking for a cheap dinner deal. Overall, I think it serves its purpouse with modest dignity.

This is the fanciest place in town. The fish is great, but it comes with a high price tag.
Service is usually excellent. The fish is always fresh. Quite a bit snobbish environment.
Not my favorite place, but if you like fish, and have money to spend, and don't wanna go Livorno to get some fresh, this is your place to be.

Once managed by the same owner of La Fontana, I think this place is now on its own.
It is a very popular place, always packed on Saturday nights. They serve a variety of foods, and pizza too.
Overall, it is a good place. If you don't like noisy places, this restaurant isn't for you. Make sure you get a reservation for dinner.
Favorite Dish: The seafood salad appertizer (Insalata di mare tiepida) is usually very good.

This restaurant has been here forever. It is one of the best in Prato. I haven't been here in a couple years, but all my memories are good. This is typical food from Prato. Maybe just a bit too expensive.
Favorite Dish: The steak is great. I know I'm always suggesting the same dish (steak in one form or another, but it just happens to be so good around here).

This restaurant overlooks the city from the eastern hills, in a small neighborhood called "Filettole". It serves excellent food and is among the most popular restaurants in Prato.
Favorite Dish: You should try the "Tagliata Olio Vergine e Rosmarino". A sliced steak served with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkles of rosmary. Simple, yet superb.
