Favorite thing: This is just a smidgeon of the view you'll get from the top of the tower. Siena’s irregular medieval street plan really becomes evident.

This is the reason why it is necessary to make reservations to climb it. There isn't enough room for two-way traffic.

Favorite thing: "Torre del Mangia" is THE tower to climb in Siena. The view you'll get from the top is breathtaking. I snapped this shot right before the ascent.

Favorite thing: If we're going to visit a church, then the least we can do is make a small donation and light a candle. It's a small price to pay to see such great architecture!
