From the campanile you have the best view down to Piazza del Campo, that is devided into 9 parts by stripes in the pavement, as 9 districts of Siena built their council here in Palazzo Publico

THIS is the reason, why you are not allowed to take any bags or other lugguage with you

Be in time back at the campanile, as the time indicated on your ticket is ment for the moment your ticket is controlled by the person sitting on the 3rd floor of the tower.
The first steps are easy to climb and rather wide, so it is no problem to meet the people coming back from the tower

Only 900 persons a day are allowed to climb up the narrow stairs to the top of the Campanile.
Buy your ticket inside the court on the back in the counter and REGISTER for a certain time to climb up the tower.

on top of the Campanile ( the belfry / belltower ) of Siena, built at the Palazzo Publico
