Luggage and bags: Either a backpack or luggage on wheels will come handy for walking up and down the hills from bus station to your accommodation. Or a taxi :-)
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Although Siena is small in dimensions, comfortable shoes are a good idea, especially when you plan to see not only Campo and duomo (then high heels for girls would be sufficient, erm...). An umbrella is a good idea as well, especially outside of summer season. During my 2 weeks in November it rained quite a lot.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Only the obvious is necessary to bring: prescription medication. Anything else is provided in countless pharmacies and stores.
Photo Equipment: Lot of memory card space and something to store. Especially in nice weather the photo opportunities are countless. Not only for Campo and duomo.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Unless you plan to stay on a campground in the surroundings, none of this would be useful. Or maybe swimwear in case the accommodation place has a pool.
Miscellaneous: A dictionary would be a good idea. We met a couple from Germany who were not talking anything else but German. The waitress would have spoken English but that was useless. Poor girl (waitress).

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good walking shoes are essential as you will find yourself walking up and down hills and on stone all day. Make sure you protect your feet. And don't forget your sunglasses. The sun reflecting off the white marble buildings can be very intense.

Luggage and bags: Don't bring too many things in your bag cos you'll get tired since you need to walk a lot.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Choose comfortable shoes since you need to walk a lot and there are lots of steps. Also bring an umbrella with you so you won't sing in the rain if it rains :)
Photo Equipment: Camera is the most thing you need to bring with you cos there are a lot of things to see

Luggage and bags: Take a backpack or suitcase with you.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Dress lightly in summer, but bring along a sweater because in the evening it cools off a bit. Bring some good walking shoes as well, because Sienna is built on three hills and you will have to climb up and down!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Suncream & anti-mosquito cream / spray!
Photo Equipment: Film is available here. Don't buy film that has been laying in the sun!

Siena: a good place to learn Italian :-)

So this was my “entry” into famed Toscana. I don’t like the Toscana very much, especially because of the hype people create around it. It is as if many non Italians reduce Italy to Toscana only and......
