GEnepy is a Alps liquer, This herbal mountain dew; genepy or genepi, is known as a natural elixir indigenous to the western Alps, made with Alpine herbs grow at very high elevations of 2,400 meters or more.

The golden buds of the genepy plant are transformed into a liqueur of the same name. They put 20 plants of artemisia glacialis in 1 lt alcool for liquer, leave it there for 45 days, after put 1 lt boild water, and after a quiet night u have to filter all. Fro a good product u have to wait another month. . The genepy plant comes from the wormwood family, more specifically, Artemisia genipi, glacialis, and mutellina. Even though a wide assortment of these herbal plants dot the mountains and valleys throughout the region, only these three varieties are harvested for the liqueur.

The coppa dell'amicizia, wrongly known as Grolla ( it's another thing) is a special pot to confirm the frindship drinking togheter the strong and alcolic valdostano coffe.
You can find it in all the main coffe bar or baite.
This is a container of wood with many small beaks. It does not have never to be washed with the water, but it goes cleaned up with a cloth I tread and humid.
The ingrediants:
4 cups of coffee
1 cup of white grappa
1 heel of Genepì ( another herbs liquer)
2 nails of garofano
milled cinnamon
The preparation: put some sugar on the edge of the grolla, put the cofee and all ingredients inside, put some grappa on the sugar and ignite the vapors that go outside the pot, so the sugar became brown. Wait until the alcool flame finish, put all the brown sugar (caramello) inside the grolla and melt all.
The ritual: the grolla it is taken with two hands, carry it the mouth to one of various small beaks and tilting grolla the drink slowly the coffee without to make to fall the coffee from other small beaks, after your shot pass to the nearest friend. The Grolla, to confirm the friendship, must turn in hour sense. All must drink.
