Skiing in Courmayeur
The small Courmayeur ski area is very beautiful and well maintained, with lovely wooden huts scattered over the slopes, some of which operate as restaurants in winter and others of which are only used in summer as alpages for guarding the cows. The views of the mountains are amazing and skiing on the pistes (and off) is often wide open because many people who come here seem like to sunbathe at the side of the piste rather than ski on it... Great food like minestrone soup and local cheeses in the restaurants on piste as well.
