quote from Wikipedia:
Lake Garda (Italian Lago di Garda or Benaco) is the largest lake in Italy. It is located in Northern Italy, about half-way between Venice and Milan. It is in an alpine region and was formed by glaciers at the end of the last ice age. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona (to the south-east), Brescia (south-west), and Trento (north). The lake is a major tourist destination, with a number of hotels and resorts along its shore.

Not much of the Castello Scaligero have resist during the centuries. According to the visible reminds in the old core of the town, it was of pretty huge proportions. One of the bastions, however, situated on the lakeshore, is pretty much well preserved making the emblem of the town. There are nore traces and reminds of the castle in the northern part of the city.

Address: Bardolino
The main city square is rather small but very attractive. There is parish church here, closing the northern part of the square, and the Town Hall with the clock on its rooftop situated on the right hand of the church. The square is open on its southern side all the way to the harbour.
It is the scene where famous wine festivals take place; Chiaretto Wine Festival held in May, and Novello Wine Festival held in November.

This are castle remnants of probably defending tower and observing point. It was the most northern part of the town walls and according to its position, the castle town was almost two hundred meters long.

The gateway, inside the old core of the town, marks the position of Scaliger's fortification from the medieval times. The bulwark is in recognizable Scaliger style, made of mixture of stone and red brik. It can be seen right behind the main city square.

In the small park, right next to the church of San Severo, this standing tomb-stone can be seen. It is very simple with writen text in Latin which, of course, cannot be understanding to us accidental tourists. Besides, nothing in the city guide indicates of its existing here.

Finally, this is the look of the rear side of San Severo, where the presbytery is. Although barely decorated, it looks very impressive to me. Very tall bell tower, fascinating in its simplicity, stands alone next to the church. It is almost in disproportion with the size of the church, but only almost.

The real jewel of San Severo's interiors are the remnants of an early Christian sacral object, hidden in the basement of the altar. It is surprisingly well preserved.
Couldn't find any useful information regarding it, help me plz.

The church of San Severo is a masterpiece of Romanesque art, the most beautiful church of the period I have seen so far in Italy. It is three naves church with beautiful arcades and very valuable frescoes, unfortunatelly in pretty bad conditions. The wooden ceiling is in perfect harmony with its simple interiors. This church is a must see when visiting Bardolino.
