This is certainly off the beaten path, if you haven't ventured far from the old town or the beach. 15 minutes from the beach (walking) will bring you to Luna Park and the bus station. A market is set up in a parking lot across the street. Although most of the stuff is 5 EUR clutter, you can certainly find a deal or two on fruits, beach accessories or even odd souvenirs without paying top-dollar back in town.
