Favorite thing: The whole main square of Este is in reconstructions work now. In my previous visits to Este I've never noticed this medieval palace, obviously because ut was in a very bad conditions. After the reconstructions works, this plalace looks very attractive and now represents the sight of major interest in whole the town.

Favorite thing: Piazza Maggiore (the Big Square) is an huge open space, completely under the major reconstructions now. During my last visit, August 2002, the Town Hall was under the scafold, now the reconstruction works are finished, showing this medieval construction in whole of its beauty.

Favorite thing: Just a foot from the Main Square there stands the Town Clock Tower. It is not the highest tower of the city but certainly the most attractive.
The basement of the tower serves as the gateway into the old core of the town.
