Lungolago Marconi

Favorite thing: This is the look of the same spot at early November. It is not crowded as in the Summer time, but still there are number of tourists here especially during the weekends.
What you have to take in the consideration is the fact that not all hotells and restaurants are open in that period.

Lungolago Marconi

Favorite thing: This is Lungolago Marconi, the main promenade of Lazise usually crowded with people in the summer time. Here you can walk, observe the lake, waiting for boat which can take you on the other side of the lake, or enjoy good food in a number of good restaurants and pizzerias.

Fondest memory: As far as I am concerned, this is the most beautiful open space on whole Lago di Garda.

Piazza Vittorio Emanuele

Favorite thing: This is the look of Piazza Vittorio Emanuele in early November 2003. Although it was the rainy day, a number of tourist have visited this place during that weekend.
The autumn season in Lazise is convinient for those travelers who suffered of summer heat.

Fondest memory: The colours of the square are much different then in the summer time, but the pavement under the rain looks great and very attractive.

The Main Square in the summer

Oiazza Vittorio Emanuele

Favorite thing: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele is the Main Square of the town of Lazise. Its central position dominates the whole place and it is the key point for exploring this cute little place situated right on the Lake of Garda.
Besides, there are many restaurants, cafe-bars, shops and pastry-shops on the square and around it. In the hot summer nights the square is usually crowded with the tourists and the variaty of lamguages one ca here make the whole atmosphere very cosmopolitan.

Lazise's Piazza

Favorite thing: Piazza V. Emanuele is the name of Lazise main square - and its certainly big. Look at the patterned floor - half expected to see giant chess pieces to appear somewhere. Anyway the piazza is found straight up from the boat harbour stop. Its lined by many cafes - great place for a spot of lunch - and several boutiques with stylish italian gear.

promenade walk

Fondest memory: Loved the patterns of the floor of the promenade and also in the Piazza - almost sends your eyes dotty! The wide promenade is a great place for a stroll by the lake front, watching the boats arrive. It was hard to imagine this was August and high season - not so many people there ;-)

church by the harbour

Favorite thing: This 12th century church is just by the small harbour. It was built by the Origenists and dedicated to San Nicolò of Bari - the patron saint of schools and seamen. It was enlarged in the mid 16th century and later used as a store, theater, barracks, home and cinema. It is now a war memorial church.

on the front

Favorite thing: Situated between Bardolino and Peschiera on southern Lake Garda is Lazise. Its name come from "laceses", meaning "place on the lake", which is exactly right! Lazise is a lovely laid back resort with a friendly air.

Lazise, my favorite place on Lago di Garda

croisbeauty profile photo

Lazise is a small town on the lake shore of Garda, half way between Peschiera and the town of Garda. It is not that known as Sirmione or Desenzano but, in my opinion, equally beautiful and more.
