Via Bafile - Fake Louis Vuitton bags.

The dinner we had at the Ristorante Piave was quite mediocre and not something to advise you to do. To us this just tells the story for the entire area of Via Bafile. It is very touristic and truly crowded. Therefore the restaurants need to speed up their meals in order to have a meal for everyone who wants one. After this disappointing dinner we walked our way up to the next square Piazza g. Carducci. We kept on walking, not really interested in all those shops. We reckon that there are some shops worth popping into, but the entire experience was generally mediocre though.

The highlight of the hike was the ice cream parlour called Gelateria Luna. If like me you are a fan of ice-cream you absolutely cannot leave Lido di Jesolo without trying one of these succulent ices. Amongst the great number of different flavours on offer you might fall for the Fior di Latte, a real torrent of freshness for your palate. The cherry on the ice is that the staff are incredibly kind, a characteristic that makes this particular ice-cream parlour even more attractive and delighted both my kids and my girlfriend as being true ice-cream lovers. After this great ice cream we had to walk our way back all the way through Via Bafile again … ending up with 2 fake Louis Vuitton bags for our daughters.

Address: Via Bafile, Lido di Jesolo.
Directions: Right at the city center, it is such a long street … can’t miss it.

Via Bafile - Packed with tourists.

For us visiting the Via Bafile was just an opportunity to have a look for a nice restaurant for dinner that night. We arrived around 5 o’clock in Lido di Jesolo, parked the car and walked our way to the square called Piazza Brescia. From that point we entered the street Via Bafile. We hiked our way up east and did not expect this huge shopping street to be here. It was quite clear; it attracts tourists from all over the surrounding areas and if you really like souvenir shopping Via Bafile is the place to be!

Do keep in mind that this street is not only a shopping area to come and buy, but also to enjoy the pleasure of wandering around … and so we did! Once we entered the Via Bafile we witnessed that here in the street the shop owners try to engage in the direct and personalized sale of their products. Sometimes this is quite annoying indeed. But anyway, just try to enjoy the vibe of this packed street. We ended up at the restaurant Ristorante Piave for an authentic Italian style diner.

    Via Bafile - Shopper's paradise.

We have heard that Lido di Jesolo counts as one of Italy’s best summer destinations, but not all the tourist pursuits are related to Jesolo’s reputation of seaside resort. Beaches and sports aside, Jesolo remains a shoppers’ paradise, which is no overstatement, taking into account the resort boasts of being crossed by the one of the world’s largest pedestrian shopping street, called Via Bafile. This thoroughfare springs from the square called Piazza Guglielmo Marconi Carducci heading all the way to Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini.

Thus, almost 3 kilometers stretch at the feet of keen fashion victims, a seemingly endless array of opportunities tempting visitors to engage into the most thrilling shopping sprees. From fashion to design and traditional foodstuffs, the best of Jesolo’s shopping can be spotted along this reputed pedestrian street. The street is, on top of that, a genuine backbone of Jesolo in terms of nightlife venues, being dotted, furthermore, with restaurants where visitors can delight in sampling the superb heights of the local traditional cuisine.

Address: Via Bafile, Lido di Jesolo.

  • Trocadero restaurant: avoid!!

    by Fra.da. Updated Sep 18, 2006

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Expansive seafood!!! Ahhhh....

See also my tip about this restaurant. Anyway, I went there with my uncle to eat fried seafood. Quality of the seafood was ok, but prices were really EXPENSIVE and I don't think this restaurant is worth going. We spent 37 € each and our menu was:
    crostini with salmon
    fried seafood plus french fries
    water and wine
    coffee.
The ambience itself is not that nice, pretty old. I think this restaurant would be ok if it was cheaper. So I will never go back and I would not suggest it to my friends.

Unique Suggestions: Check the menu before ordering!!

Fun Alternatives: Try to go to another restaurant... unfortunatly I cannot suggest you a good restaurant in the area, but try to avoid this one if you care of your money!!
