Favorite thing: Moselice seems to sleep, yet when you walk up to the castle you can look down and see what history has made. Life in this area was hard, but the people managed to survive and make a wonderful village which grew into what Monselice is now.
Included here are more parade fotos of the parade in September.
Fondest memory: During most of the year you can walk the streets of Monselice and see very few tourists. The walk to the top of the hills has a reward of the quaint castle, and the view is very nice from the top.
I am including here fotos from the parade as I think that this festival is one of the best and you can see the people of Monselice in them.

The first part is the older and have a great, big medieval guns collections. There are crossbows, swords and rifles from the 15th century. Upstair there is the noble apartament, it have been renewed in venetian style and there are some impressive fireplaces.
The part that impressed me the most is the kitchen that is in a separate building and have a huge fireplace for cooking.
Fondest memory: I was lucky enaugh to visit the castle during one of the special evening tour. The tuor is led by one of the city quarter medieval groups. Those people work all year to prepare the local medieval festival and, during this visit, walk around in the castle in ancient clothes showing the visitors how the life in the castle was. You dont just see the owner in nice clothes, you see also the servant cleaning the swords or working in the kitchen. When you arrive you are greeted by drummers and at the main door there will be soldier with metal coat and flags.
It give the visit a special overview and make it much more interesting.
This special visit usually take place late June to August.
