All around the large piazza called Prato Della Valle there is a oval where you can enjoy skating. They use it for international contests but all year long people go there to skate every day. It is easy to see very good one doing acrobatic performances.
There used to be a skate rental place but it is not there any longer, so if you want to enjoy this wonderful place you need to bring your own equipment.

Years ago, in the last century, Padova used to have pretty good soccer club which played in the Italian Premiere Ligue, along with Juventus, Inter, Milan, ......etc. This are hand made aquarels, probably from early sixties, which announced important football matches between Padova and other Italian clubs. St.Anthony Marathon starts in Vedelago, a town in the province of Treviso, and ends in the heart of Padova. There is about 40 km of a level race course through nine little towns.

Check if they are playing at home or away when you are in town, and maybe go to watch them play if they are playing at home.
They currently are in the Serie C1 (third tier of football), but flirting with promotion to the Serie B, so prices (although variable) should not be budget-breaking.
