This place was ace. My client knew it well, plus he speaks a bit of Italian and that works really well.
Not sure what differentiates an "enoteca" from a restaurant or trattoria...
Atmosphere was great (only 1 table taken by touroids) and service efficient as well as friendly.
The food was really excellent. I had carpaccio of squid, then fillet steak and some kind of chocolate dessert. All spot on. A lovely bottle of red, followed by a glass of heavenly dessert white.
Could not be faulted (and I'm a fussy old git).
I wasn't allowed to pay, so can't comment on the prices. On the menu they seemed OK.
Favorite Dish: The steak in a Worcestershire sauce, served with mashed potato and fried lardons,

The whole region of Soave is the major producer of the very high quuality white wines, very known in Italy and abroad aswell.
Do not miss to taste the wine siting in the shadow of the medieval castle walls.
