It is sometimes difficult to find a shop for painting supplies in Italian cities. It is even more difficult to find a shop that has good quality products, and so when I stumbled onto Mesticolor in Treviso, I was more than pleased. This shop has paint that is of professional quality, not student level, and even though it is a small shop, has all the things one would need when being a traveller and visiting Italy.
The lady who owns the shop is Francesca Tiddi, and she is a gem. Here is my example, I had only 25 euros in my wallet, and my bank card from California. The bank card did not work, which happens sometimes here in Italy. My bill was 28 euros. Ms. Tiddi saw that I was a foreigner and she said, oh, it is ok, don't worry about the other 3 euros. This is the kind of person she is.
I went to the bank machine and got the rest to repay her, but she kept trying to tell her that it is okay. (She got the money, and she got a loyal customer when I am in Treviso.)
What to buy: Watercolor paint
Acrylics and oils
Pastels
Paper
charcoal
pens and pencils of all types
easels
The shop is very tidy, and it is nice just to go in and see how it is made up.
What to pay: I don't feel that the prices were any more than anywhere else, but the quality was better than what I find in Padova where I live.

What is different about this bakery is the they have many different types of breads, and they have not limited themselves to just white bread products. In the Veneto, this is the tendency, but Treviso is a bit more north of Padova, and this might be the reason.
As you can see from the photo, they have several types of brown breads plus others with sunflower seeds on the outside, and more.
Even if you are not planning to buy bread to take back to your hotel, go in and smell the wonderful flavor of fresh cooked bread.
What to buy: This shop was found along Via Calmaggiore, just south of the Domed Cathedral, two minutes walking.
Prices are about average for these types of breads, but worth it!

I guess each lady dream about Gucci bag, no matter fact that it cost over one thousand euros a peace. I entered inside of this shop, just in order to feed my curiosity, what makes this bags so special to cost so much? There are bags made of genuine leather which is designed with the characteristic Gucci motives over its surface. The inrerior of the bag has fine quality lining and is very well manufactured. Bags looking nice indeed but in my opinion none of it worth so much to cost over one thousand euros.
