Favorite thing: Still on the tour, you go from the posh elegance of the palace to the dankness of the prison by way of the Bridge of Sighs. This bridge is named for the sighs the prisoners gave as they got their last look at the outside world through those small windows after being convicted and were being taken to their cells.

Favorite thing: Talk a stroll across the bridge of sigh.
Fondest memory: Prisoners used to walk across the bridge to get to the prison. And as they take a last view of the beautiful city as they cross the bridge, they will sigh. Hence the name for the bridge- the Bridge of Sigh.

Favorite thing: Visit the nice stores around it. If you only have one or two days to visit Venice, don't get stuck in a gondola all day! Try and walk all around Venice and you'll enjoy a whole new side of it.
You will pass by the Bridge of Sighs, and in order to see the 'Chiesa di Santa Maria della Salute', you will pass by the Academic bridge, made of wood.

Favorite thing: What a cool city! It's heavily overcrowded and very "tourist" oriented, but c'mon, no trip to Italy would be complete without a day in Venice.

Favorite thing: While all of my firends took a gondala ride, I finally got some more time alone to draw. If you are an artist at heart, you might think about taking a day by yourself and seeing what you can find.
