Florida: How to choose ?
Food? Restaurant's name? Price?
Who cares with such an ambience? Dinning by Rialto's bridge was great, before the storm expelled us from the esplanade to the interior of a normal restaurant. However, Rialto has lots of options (not cheap, as expected).

Since we live so close to...
Since we live so close to Venice (only 30 min away), we visit often. We always time our visit so we are there for lunch and dine at our favorite place, The Restaurante Florida at the base of the Rialto right on the Grand Canal. Cheap, its not, but they have an English translation on the menu (never take this for granted, Italy is famous for NOT having it) and the food is fabulous. We alway take our 2 children (both under 10) and everyone comes away fat AND Happy. Try the Soave wine, a local specialty.
Favorite Dish: My husband and children ALWAYS order the pizza. My children divide one between themselves (generally accepted for children NOT for adults). They get the Pizze Maguerita (cheese and tomato sauce), my husband gets the Pizze Capriciosa (with artichokes, ham, and mushrooms). I aways try something different like fried shrimp, pork cutlet or a soup and wonderful salad. Save room for a delicious Cafe Machiato or Cappucino. It's not over until you've had it.
