A view in the other direction from the roof of St Marcos Bascilila looking over central plaza and out to another part of the Grand Canal.
Climb to the top of St Marks - the view is fabulous. The roof tops are all huddled together at varying levels, you can see across the Grand Canal.
Visit the Campanile and take the elevator to the top for great views of the city specially if you are a photographer. It provides a nice view at the multi-domed basilica roof.
The Campanile is the famous tower on St. Marks place. You should absolutely go up by elevator (it's quite cheap). It offers you great views, by day as well as by night!
Take a deep breath and say ahhhhhh... kudos to any view junky that doesn't scat an entire roll of film up here.
Very windy as well as it is 60m high. When we were there it was closed because during the winter is unbelievably cold and windy.
Another thing you'll see from the top of the bell tower is one of the hundreds of islands that surround Venice. Many, like the one in the picture, have their own bell tower and church.
While on top of the Bell Tower, you'll get a completely different view of St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica San Marco.) Make sure you take your time to soak in the sites from all different directions.
Yeah and this is it! The wiev (or view?) of Venice. An overwiev. I really loved it. Now I just cant remember where have I stood to look at so many rooftops but lovely, isnt it?
Climb the Campanile (Actually take the lift!!)
Best views of Venice (Top photograph was taken from here)
From up there the view is surely better but I missed it so I did with the view from the Gallery of San Marco Basilica...
Head to the top of the Campanile in Piazza San Marco for a thrilling view of the city and lagoon. There's a lift and they charge a small fee.
Take a trip up the belltower for some gorgeous views of Venezia. When I was there, the cost was only approximately $2to3.It is really worth it....you can see everything from this point!
Go up the CAMPANILE tower and take plenty of pictures of the 'water city'. They'll all come out looking like postcards.... (Your family and friends will actually think you have a good eye!)
Yet another view from the Campanile--this is Piazza San Marco. The view from the top is worth the climb so do it!
