"Il saporo genuino della natura" - Wines produced by Tenuta Chiccheri
We were lucky to be invited by Mr.Ruffo, a local industrial to have lunch on his vineyard,
located in the moutains of Tregnano, not that far from Verona.
His warm welcome and invitation, the degustation of local products, the views on the yard a unique experience.
Mr.Ruffo's passion for nature and it's products, his taste for the good wine produced in his region made it true to built, little by little "Tenuta Chiccheri.
Just to call a few wines :
- Amarone di Valpolicella
- Valpolocella superiore
- Pumante Brut ( Champaign)
- Chardonnay and not at last - Bianco Passito

This was a consultation. The issue about the next VT meet came up for consideration. Can it be done in Africa?.. This is what is being considered here.
It will be termed "Rumble in the Jungle"
It was generally agreed that, this should come up again after the consumation of Carolina, and dr. Fiiirrras in Syria, and Italy!
Can BarbaraForza pull this one???

This is Ali, Annad, Sarita76, and Federica. They were mostly outside the club house, trying to get fresh air having danced and danced!
It was the biggest and the best gathering of VTiers anywhere on the Globe!

When all was said and done Annad and Federica actually went out of their way to drop me at the Airport. The airport was more than an hour drive from the hotel. I promised these two Italians beauties; that I will retaliate very soon. I realy felt like a hero you know?
Who says VT isn't good!

Just on the other side of the River Adige is the Teatro Romano, the ruins of a small Roman theatre. It is also home to the Museum of Archaeology, and during the summer months ballets and plays are performed here. Allow yourself about two hours to explore the ruins and museum in their entirety... in my opinion, there is more to explore and discover here than at the Roman Ampitheatre in Piazza Bra!

The hill of San Pietro rises on the eastern bank of the river Adige. On the tophill there is a Castle of S. Pietro from where you can enjoy in the magnificient panoramic view of the town. Right below the Castle there is a Roman Theatre, Archeological Museum and the church of Saints Sirius and Libera.

Vicenza is also one of the cities I fell in love when I stood in Veneto. Vicenza is the city of Andrea Palladio (1508-1580), who was a simple stonecutter and became one of the most influential architects of his time. And the Villa Rotonda is the most beautiful building in Vicenza. It was built by him in 1552.

The lake of Garda is a natural frontier for Lombardy and Veneto. It's the biggest lake in Italy and also one of the most beautiful. Sirmione is a lovely town located in the south of the lake. It's like an island united to the land by a narrow natural bridge. The castle of Rocca Scaligeri was built in the XIIIth century and it stands as one of the interesting sites in town. Saló, Desenzano and Riva del Garda are other one-should-visit places.
