Situated in the middle of the impresive covered market, itself offering an amazing range of fresh fruit, flowers and vedgetables is the Pure Charity Coffee Shop.
It is actually run as a charity helping fund the local hospice as well as a roumanian charity.
Great coffee and a wide range of fresh snacks, cakes and specials. Fair prices and friendly service. Well worth a visit whilst shopping at the market witso much on offer
Favorite Dish: The cup cakes made fresh each day taste good look good at about £1 each. Picture appended

Some reports mention it's difficult to find so we've added a map. It's 10mins max by foot from the Bus Station (A brand new building by Liberation Square) and an easy stroll. Coming from town (see map) when you get to the arcade Gradees is behind an indian restaurant. Each time we wen off the set menu option with 3 courses. Closed on Sundays. Best to book unless eating early. Seems to open around 6.30 or so.
We were in St Helier in March and dined here twice. The set menu was good value with plenty of choice and not just fish which was superb. The service was impeccable and the layout of this relatively small restaurant cosy and refined. Well worth a visit
Favorite Dish: The fish of the day is always superb - one day it was skate. The Lamb Shank was nice for the meat-eater, slowly cooked and tender. Pate (home-made) was excellent as was the king prawns in black-bean sauce.

Regular readers will know of our liking for curry. As usual we had the urge in St Helier. Spotted this place and liked the look of the menu, good choice.
Mrs Bonio had the vegetarian set meal and I went for the meat eaters option, both great value, with a choice of tasty and well cooked starters and main course for both of us.
Excellent!

First time in a Portuguese restaurant outside of Portugal.
Very impressed with the food and friendly service. Good vegetarian choices for Mrs B. and a bewildering selection for me.
Slightly more expensive than usual but is well worth it.
