It's a good idea to bring a map of the city or to buy one at a kiosk. There is no map anywhere and make sure the map features the tramway lines as you will need it to go to the old Russian fort. There is a tourist office somewhere in town, but they seem to be a travel agent too and sell overpriced postcards.
