Main attraction of Lizums is its manor-castle that look impressive.
Manor was built in 1836 for baron O.J.G. von Wolf. At the end of 19 century manor rebuilt to Tudor Neo-gothic style. Polygonal tower and attica over the central risalite were built. Manor got real castle view. There has preserved original interior finish at the stairs, Great Hall and Blue or so called Hunters' Hall that was decorated with wood-carvings and paintings by Estonian master Alexander Knock.
Near the castle other household buildings are situated - stone walled granary with the collonade (built in the middle of the 19th century), Majordomo House, stables, Servants' dwelling house and Gardener's House. There also is 5 ha wide landscape park at the manor-house.
Since 1937 castle houses Lizums secondary school.
