Time and price

You have to pay there for not less than for 4 hours there. The price is around 10 Latas. 4 hours are pretty enough. Don't forget to leave in time, as you'll have to pay more if you're late. You'll find some clocks at the area of attractions in LIVU.

Dressing

What I liked most there was the same area for dressing. We didn't need to split up like girls go to the right, boys to the left. There are many booths where you can change your clothes and use one hutche for two people. You get the key which looks like a watch on your hand and fits there well and you can enjoy water attractions without any worries.

The Latvian coast

Jurmala is a stretch of beaches situated between the Baltic Sea and the Lielupe River, Majori is the most important centre. Other than the nice beaches there are beautiful wooden villas, medicinal mud and Jurmala mineral water.

JURMALA - the Town

Jurmala town is a resort located on the thin land-slice (2.5 km X 20 km, its territory is 100 sq. km. Its population is 59,247 inhabitants, but in the summer season its population doubles because its status of recreation resort with its white-sand shore. The near position from Riga (30 min on car or 35 min on train) and the seaside relax atmosphere makes this city the favourite in all Baltic countries to the northern foreign visitors, mainly from Germany, Sweden and Russia. Some people says this is the Moscow's beach(?!) as it is really the favourite beach for the most of Russian who spends holidays with its family. I have liked very much the nature and beach by day, and the walking street atmosphere at evening and night
