  • Lutheran Holy Trinity Church

The baroque style church was constructed in 1742 - 1758. It is pity I haven't been inside, but guides tell it has the biggest mechanical organs in the World (hard to believe :).Outside view is a little bit cracked, but, as guides tell, interior is amazing. I think it is possible to have a look inside only when concerts or mass take place.

  • Annas Tirgus

There's another quite big open air market in Liepaja, and is the one in Annas Tirgus. This time you won't find not only some food, but also anything else, from toilets (really!) to working tools, clothes and so on!Maybe it's less picturesque than the market in the centre, but probably it's one of the few "poor" markets still surviving in the EU...

  • Sv.Alekseja Church

It's quite strange to find a recently renovated building among all these old, often scattered, houses. But here it is the St.Alekseja's orthodox church, just few metres from the (also renovated) train and bus station.

The street which connects the old Liepaja (Vecliepaja) to the train and bus station is Rigas Iela and here (and the streets around) you can see many old wooden houses, often in quite bad conditions, which are typical of the old Liepaja architecture.
