Dundaga castle
The castle, which was built in 13th century for Riga's ministers was burned and renewed many, many times but still, is very well preserved. In old times it also belonged to bishop of Kurzeme, as both to Polish, and German conquerors. The last owners here were members from Osten-Zaken family. Once it was as manor castle, but nowadays here's located school.Above the entrance you can see coat of arms of previous castle owners - landlords. But if you go in the castle, in it's square near the entrance you'll see on both sides two men in the stone, so on the right stands bishop of Riga, but on the left stands a knight. There are also some legends, which are connected with the castle. One of it tells about Green Jumprava, a girl who usually wore green clothes. One night she secretly saw dwarfs' party therefore she was immured in the castle's walls. It is said that sometimes she haunts.
