This is the capital city of Liechtenshtein, called Vaduz. It is very quaint, clean and friendly. I would have loved time to explore the town, and of course the castle, but alas, twas only a quick lunch stop on our tour! I shall have to go back!
Like everyone else-I was only in the country a few hours each time I have been there but it is a very beautiful place and the people are very nice. My fonest memroy was the first time i crossed the boder into this tiny country.
If you come by car, you should tank up your car in here! Gasoline is cheap, even cheaper than in Switzerland, where it was cheap also.
As mentioned in the previous tip, there is now monitored border between Liechtenstein and Switzerland, but on the bridges you find a sign marking the border line.
Stamp collectors - take note! Liechtenstein is famous for its stamps. And I mean really beautiful stamps.

You can get the offical stamp from the post office for only 2€ (3 SFR).
Because of the low taxes in this country. Gasoline is up to %20 cheaper to compare to Germany and up to %10 cheaper than Switzerland.
