Städtle: Nightlife in Vaduz

The nightlife in Vaduz is definitely not as good as you would expect from a country's capital, but at the other hand it is very impressive for a village with only 5.500 inhabitants.The centre of the nightlife in Liechtenstein is at and around Städtle in the capital. This pedestrian area has a lot of restaurants and bars, especially around Rathausplatz at the north of the street. Here you can choose from quite a lot of nice places, but definitely no cheap places.Next to the Kunstmuseum, further south, you can also find a trendy club, of which I can't remember the name. This is said to be one of the most popular places for young people in the country.Of course, one thing you should really try here, is the Liechtensteiner wine. The most common wine is the white wine, but also the pink wine was very nice I can tell!

Walk - well, limp - on the wild side

Vaduz has only a couple of thousand inhabitants, so don't expect to cruise the clubs at night looking for who's hot and who's not. A good place to pass the evening is the Old Castle Inn, an English-style pub in the centre of town. But don't get too excited: the last time old Cliffie was there, they were showing Austrian second-division football on TV. The excitement came later, when old Cliffie tripped over the step on exiting and a civic-minded Liechtensteiner called out the local ambulance.
