    Liechtenstein Travel Adaptor

    by pure1942 Written May 13, 2008

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Miscellaneous: Don't make the same mistake a lot of travellers make when visiting Liechtensetin. The electrical socket used in Liechtenstein is the same as in Switzerland and is a three pin variety and most sockets have a kind of hexagonal inset which wont allow some travel adaptors to fit in. Rounded adaptors will not fit.
Below is a pic of the most useful adaptor for use in Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

Miscellaneous: The Tourist Information Office in Vaduz has many helpful brochures, including free maps of Vaduz and Liechtenstein available. The free map includes the location of the sights, a street index and some facvts and figures about Vaduz and Liechtenstein.

The staff of the Tourist Information Office is very friendly. You can even get your passport stamped with the former border control stamp here. It will set you back 2 CHF.

The Tourist Information Office is situated at Städle 37, right in the centre of the town.

Luggage and bags: Bags! come on.... there is no as such need to takes 'Bag-S' there. Its world's 4th Smallest country and it would hardly take a day and a half for you to see the whole country.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Be careful in winters. It gets around - 16 C or more near Christmas times. All the clothing and accessories should be according to it.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Everything is available in Vaduz but its an expensive place to buy camera roles of anything like that. This country nearly Imports allllll the goods of use from other countrys.
