Liechtenstein is a wine growing country. Most of its 15 ha of vineyards can be found around Vaduz. Even the Princely family run their own winery, which is situated at the northen end of Vaduz just before getting to Schaan. The south western location of their 4 ha vineyards are used to cultivate Pinot Noir und Chardonnay grapes.
It's hard to define anything special what we would recommend to buy for a visitor.Liechtenstein has some large companies, and you may use/own some of their products:Your house had been constructed with HILTI tools.You drive a car with some parts from ThyssenKrupp Presta.Your dentist filled your teeth with products from Ivoclar-Vivadent.You listen to a CD/DVD beeing coated on a Unaxis vacuum system.But this is all not what you want to buy as a tourist. Here my tip: SWAROVSKI.If you are not a friend of this sparkling crystels, buy it for friends, your mother -in-law, etc.Swarovski is producing this gems in Triesen, south of Vaduz. Among many other businesses the Prince of Liechtenstein ownes also a winery.The Hofkellerei sells the wines cultivated on the two vineyards in Vaduz and Wilfersdorf (Austria) Wine Swiss francs.....what else...

Liechtenstein is famous all over the world for its postage stamps. Everywhere in the town you can find shops with stamps. A great opportunity for the stamps collectors.
Liechtenstein has beautiful stamps (check also my tip about the stamp museum) buy some and send it back to your friends. Stamps off different values not much...
Since a while you can get a chocolate specialty in Liechtenstein, the Fürstenhütchen (Princely hat) Different sizes, depends on $ $$$
