Neris regional park direction and museum inside was opened a few years ago. It houses a nice modern exposition about Neris Regional Park – big maps showing what and where to see, photography and films about different aspects of park – nature, architectural objects, ethnography, so on.

The most exciting thing to me – artificial plane cabin with a monitors showing fly views of Regional Park.

There is an information centre as well; it is possible to buy press about Neris Regional Park and Lithuania.

First chapel here appeared in 1647; later, in 1772, pijorai monks have built here a church. At 1850 – 1856 big renovations were made and church got changed to nowadays appearance of neo – gothic.

The church and former monastery were main points for pijorai monks here. Famous pijorai – Vilnius university lecturers - buried in cemetery nearby church (M. Danilavičius, E. Sieradskis, F.Golanskis).

Despite of not so old time it was constructed, I like the medieval look of church.

Dukstai recently started to be famous for its Oak tree park - it is made just a few years ago and this park is fully prepared for walking (it is fine for disabled people as well). Park theme is a pagan times, when oak tree forests were like a house for old pagan Gods and people were coming here to greet them and give sacrifices.

So, the pagan theme is showed in this way - the paths were made and in some places the wooden sculptures of pagan Gods were put (maybe about in every 30 metres) - the main God Perkunas (Thunder), God of underground World Velenas (Devil) and so on.

First time Maisiagala was mentioned in 1365, as a castle place. Later, in 1390 the castle was burned by crusaders. Town was quite significant in medieval Lithuania. One of first seven churches was built here after Christianizing country, in 1387. Duke Algirdas spend here some of his life.

Town still is a location of historical mound, palace, and 19th century church. It is about 10 kilometers from Dukstos.

"Pusynelis" (means "small pinery") is a bar near city Dukstai (about 3 km from it).

It is built on very nice place - Neris river scarp and from that place where "Pusynelis" is you can see wing of Neris river and very big area of forests (looks like there is no end where forest end). What is more, there is a nice place for leisure time - just to sit and drink bear or eat, inside building or outside, playground for children with "Witch house", swings and so on.
