oh.. what can i say about it..
first, in winter there's a lot of ice on the ground, so don't take a old grammy with you or she risks to break her legs ( a witch effect?!!).
second, it's a must to do in family or with friends, this is so surprising how human spirit can create so originals sculpture..
it's more than a entertainment park, just try to imagine how much time did it take to sclupt all that..
i laughed a lot, even if i was alone!! ;-)

i suppose it must be a good activity in summer.. in winter, i only saw some sailers who were trying to catch some fishes under the ice.. you can see one of them in the background of the photo ;-)
good luck for them.. i didn't try to go until them!! :)

This 1,5 km walk is a must especially with kids. I was told first to buy the little booklet available in different languages about some of the carvings. This was a brilliant idea as I was able to read short summaries of saga and fairy tales concerning individual carvings. This place has not only witches but devils and other charaters as well.

Zuvis (simply named “Fish”) is a plain little roadside eatery with a great view of the Curonian lagoon and wonderful food. It is near the old ship moored near a dock opposite the Hill of Witches. Their specialties are smoked fish (rukytas karsis) and smoked eel (rukytas ungurys). A great place to enjoy great food and a couple of beers before you continue to Nida or Smiltyne.
Favorite Dish: The smoked fish is amazing!
