Kurtuvenai Travel Guide

The Shrovetide Feast of Kurtuvenai is acknowledged as one of the most viable traditional festivals all over Lithuania. Also, other feasts take place in the park, such as the Festival of barn-theaters, Fire-linkup on the Girnikai hill, Midsummer Feast, and different events of the Christmas time.

Kurtuvenai is a small village and its mean that you'll not find restaurants here, but it is a great possibility to taste traditional Lithuanian dishes in a local pub.

Favorite Dish: I advice you to take complex dinner: the soup from cabbages, potatotes with meat and the juice.

Kurtuvenai Regional Park is situated on the way between Siauliai city and Kelme town. The park can be reached by bus, car or bicycle. Preliminary distance from Siauliai city to Kurtuvenai is about 14 kilometres; the distance from Kelme is 34 km, from Vilnius- 250km, from Riga – 160km.
