Favorite thing: Basanavicius street is the main entertaintment street in Palanga. In a day time it's quite calm, with many cafes and bars, kid entertaintment, etc. At the evening it becomes a trendy place of entertaintment with tons of people taking walks, visiting bars and cafes with live music, wonderful and noisy athmosphere. It's also the street leading to the pier where everybody goes to see the sunset in the evening as the sun goes down directly to the sea.
Fondest memory: And if you read all these general tips, you'll know the Key phrase of the page, that .... (I already hear you saying it :)) - all the info is in the travelogue! :) please check it.

Favorite thing: That's my favourite view, when I'm in Palanga.. for reaching the beach you usually have to cross part of the pine-tree forest then to climb dunes hearing the sound of the sea, you hear it close but still can't see it, and then it suddenly appears.. the view of sand and dunes. lovely.. a step up and you see the beach full of people.. not so lovely :P but still nice :)
