I don't know for sure, but people and history says that some of the great dukes family members was buried in this chapel.. There are always some flowers there and people come to look at the marble interior of the chapel..

I always had this question. And senior citizens of Rietavas town remembers it used to be a lovely fountain, but now it's just a little water pond (favorite place for ducks) next to the Rietavas church. It's not seen in the picture, but I found there a happy "Donald Duck" family there..:)

I wonder who made these fancy fences and gates for the duke Oginskis who ruled over Rietavas hundreds years ago.. I noticed that each of the fence is different and original. So if you have a free time, just give some time for walking around the old Oginskiai park, pool, church and you'll see that it has an interesting art-works there..

Rietavas town has a lion in its blazon, so you can find various shapes of lion statues in many places in the town. This red scary lion head is found at the dairy factory.
