Favorite thing: Rusne was one of the filming locations for a German film “A Pirate’s Heart”. It tells the life story of Germany’s most famous pirate, Klaus Stoertebeker. He was active in the North and the Baltic Seas in the 14th century. He was called the "Robin Hood of the Seas" because he shared part of his prey with the poor.
For filming there was constructed a complex of sceneries in Rusne. It was the highest scenery ever made in Lithuania (16 metres). Another record is that during a short time (five weeks) the 14th century's two-masted sailor weighing 40 tons was constructed.
