The first church of 1802, a wooden one in the shape of a cross with two chapels, burnt down in the big fire in 1879 when most of the town actually burnt down.

Today's church was built from 896'670 bricks in 1882/3. It's in gothic style. The belfry is of a different style and somewhat older.

I was quite surprised by this modern museum. At the time we were the only visitors. The museum has three main exhibitions: archeology, ethnography and folk art

Opening times are Tuesday - Friday from 10 am till 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am till 5 pm
Entrance was free

There is a tourist office in Utena right next to the museum. Unfortunately it was closed when we were there although it seems to be very helpful on information about the whole region.
