Every Christmas/New Year we have the tallest Christmas tree in the world – Vilnius TV tower, light up with many lights from the top to the bottom and forms the most wonderful Christmas tree!
THE HIGHEST BUILDING IN LITHUANIA - THE BROADCASTING TOWER - WAS TURNED BY 5,440 ELECTRIC BULBS AND FOUR POWERFUL PROJECTORS INTO THE WORLD'S TALLEST CHRISTMAS TREE. IT WAS 326 METRES AND 47 CENTIMETRES HIGH. EVERY NIGHT, STARTING WITH 25 DECEMBER AND UNTIL 10 JANUARY 'THE CHRISTMAS TREE' WAS LIGHTED AND SWITCHED OFF NEXT MORNING. IT COULD BE SEEN FOR 50 KM AROUND THE LITHUANIAN CAPITAL CITY.
