Statue of Frank Zappa, Vilnius

You won't find this statue in Užupis, as you could think, but not far from the old town, in a part of the town you'd probably never explore, unless you are a fan of the great musician!
There's not much to say, Vilnius is the only town in the world where there is a statue of Frank Zappa, that's quite curious, and they put it in quite an ugly backyard, but there it is, and if you like good music, it's a must visit indeed!

A city that features a Frank Zappa monument must be cool, aint that so?
There's a bronze statue and some nice graffiti there, but for me its just the fact that they do that, that amazes me and makes it a must see in Vilnius

For curiosity value it is worth searching out this statue. Sign posts nearby give directions. On finding it the fact that it seems to be in a car park is a bit of a let down. The statue is worth a look & a picture, so too is the mural behind it.

Not really much to the area but a small statue of Zappa and a painting of Zappa, Hendrix, and others. I really don't know what the significance that Zappa has in Lithuanian culture, but a cool place to visit nonetheless.

Well, not far from our hotel so had to see this statue to Mr Zappa, it's really in a hospital car park but has to be worth a visit if you're in town....

That's just a monument but it's a one you should not miss. Frank Zappa was one of the most influential musicians and Vilnius is a place where Frankie will always be remembered!
