As we booked the hotel from the tiny quiet village of Welscheid, we had no idea that the hotel's restaurant is a Chain de Rotisseur - place. The guest rooms were reasonably priced and the restaurant did not look like a 5 star French place.

The place looked cosy though, candles in each table, matching colours.

The French á la carte menu was great - but expensive, so we decided to take only the main dish and big glasses of wine. No starters, no aperitifs, no desserts except coffee. Pity - they had my favorite foie gras (goose liver) and many other delicacies.

The staff is super friendly and flexible; and patient to answer to your many questions concerning the dishes or whatever. They speak French, German and English.

Please note that the restaurant closes (at least in winter season) already at 9 p.m.

Favorite Dish: I cannot say because we ate there only once. My Coq au Riesling was anyhow very delicious; they tend to do lots of wine sauces to accompany the dish.
