If you plan on doing a hike then you may want to visit the friendly man in the tourist office. They have a free map (photocopied sheet) of Berdorf which indicated the starting points of the hikes. Alternatively, you can buy a proper map of the hiking paths in little Switzerland. I told the man that I was from Switzerland and he gave me the postcard...more
To get to some of the beautiful sights in little Switzerland we took hiking path B1 from Berdorf. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes or some kind of hiking boots. BTW, we didn't buy a hiking map for our 2 hr hike but I photographed the map hanging in the car park, so that we knew where to go.more

This is an interesting little grotto. It's assumed that during the Roman period, people here have cut big rocks for mills - you can see the traces of it. Only some steps away is the "Amphitheater", another little grotto with some benches in front of it, perhaps some events take place there. From the parking at Perekop, it's not too long and a nice...more

At this sign you have to turn right -...more

The most convenient way to get to Berdorf is by car. We took the road from Echternach. That way we already saw why Berdorf lies in Luxemburgian Switzerland. Alternatively, there are also buses.
Berdorf is very rural and there are farms around it. Starting our hike we got scrutinized by these lovely ladies.
